Late-Breaking Abstract Submission Deadline is July 13!
 

ASBMR is now accepting Late-Breaking abstracts on clinical, basic and/or translational subjects that describe novel, groundbreaking research findings of the highest scientific impact. Early stage and mid-career investigators submitting Late-Breaking abstracts are eligible for the expanded travel grant program, which you can read more about here. The deadline to submit your research is Wednesday, July 13, 11:59 PM EDT.

Registration is now open for the Annual Meeting. Register by the early-bird deadline of Thursday, July 28 to ensure you receive the lowest registration rate.
 
Be sure to book your accommodations in the Society’s official housing block at two hotels located close to the Austin Convention Center to get preferred pricing. The ASBMR Housing block is available through Wednesday, August 10.

ASBMR Member, Marja Hurley, M.D., Awarded Nearly
$3 Million to Study Sickle Cell Disease at UConn Health
 

Congratulations to ASBMR member and current Councilor Marja Hurley, M.D., for receiving nearly $3 million in research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Global Blood Therapeutics to advance scientific knowledge about sickle cell disease and its relation to bone loss. The research will study how sickle cell disease contributes to impaired bone mineralization. Click here to view the article.
