Each year in the December issue of the JBMR® the Society publishes an 'In Memoriam' page acknowledging all ASBMR members who have died in the last 12 months. On occasion, the Editors of the JBMR® consider requests for longer articles to be published, based upon the following:
- the impact that the individual has had on the bone field
- the individual's influence in mentoring investigators
- the individual's influence in developing new concepts in bone biology, expanding clinical knowledge or influencing how the bone field is perceived by the public at either the government or corporate level.
- service in the development or governance of ASBMR
If you believe that a longer sketch is appropriate and wish to submit one, please send your request to jbmr.editorialoffice@oup.com.
