The ASBMR Leadership Education for Advancement (LEAD) program is returning for its second year to fill a gap in leadership education for junior and mid-career faculty in bone, mineral, and musculoskeletal science! The program will meet monthly in 2024 and is geared toward early and mid-career faculty, but ASBMR members at ALL career stages are encouraged to apply. The monthly sessions will be led by recognized experts in relevant leadership topics, followed by peer networking groups facilitated by senior career ASBMR members, and culminating with a networking reception at the 2024 ASBMR meeting in Toronto, ON, Canada. The goal is to build leadership and management skills that will allow ASBMR members to advance within their careers and remain active in the musculoskeletal field. You can read more about this opportunity here.

The application deadline is Friday, December 15, 2023.

Beginning January 2024, ASBMR will transition publication of its Journal of Bone and Mineral Research (JBMR®) and open access journal JBMR® Plus to Oxford University Press (OUP). In addition, starting in January, JBMR® will become an online-only publication.

As an additional benefit to our authors, moving to online-only will remove all non-open access page charges for authors, which are currently up to $1,800 for non-members. We are also excited to unveil our new look and websites for JBMR® and JBMR® Plus on the Oxford Academic Platform.
