I want to use this month’s letter to discuss some programs and opportunities happening within the Society and announce upcoming deadlines surrounding Annual Meeting.
June is Pride Month!
Join the ASBMR Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee by showing your support for the LGBTQIA+ community and recognize the importance of fostering inclusion for all. We would love to hear from you, complete this form and tell us “what does ‘pride’ mean to you?”. Selected submissions will be featured across our social media platforms throughout June. ALL members are welcome to participate!
17th Annual EFF-ASBMR Fellows Forum on Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Diseases
We are looking forward to partnering once again with the Endocrine Fellows Foundation (EFF) for the EFF-ASBMR Fellows Forum on Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Diseases. This event will be held October 11-12, at the Vancouver Convention Center immediately prior to the ASBMR 2023 Annual Meeting in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
I have had the privilege of participating as a faculty member for the forum for many years and can attest to the truly special, interactive environment that engages and energizes all participants!
I strongly encourage all trainees to apply and submit an abstract to the EFF-ASBMR Fellows Forum. If selected, funds are available to help defray the costs to attend the Forum and the ASBMR Annual Meeting. The application deadline is Friday, June 30! Annual Meeting Late-Breaking Abstract Submissions/Abstracts Notifications/Registration & Housing
The 2023 Annual Meeting Program Committee will be seeking late-breaking abstract submissions to the October ASBMR Annual Meeting. The submission center will open on Wednesday, June 28 and close Wednesday, July 19 at 5pm EDT. Full details are available on the ASBMR website.
For those that submitted an abstract during the regular submission period, notifications will be sent out the second week of July. This is also when registration and housing for this year’s Annual Meeting will open.
